Think of the beauty that still remains..

“I don’t think of all the misery, but of the beauty that still remains.” — Anne Frank

Last year, during our mission trip to a poor village in El Salvador, an elderly women gave the following testimony. “Fr. Michael, it has been a difficult year for me. My husband died, I was beat up by a gang and all the food in my little shop was stolen…and as a result of the blows to my head, I was lying semi-conscious on the ground for 2 days until someone discovered me. But, at the same time, I am so grateful to God. I am still alive and I still have my Catholic Faith!”
