A Termini Moon

The water calmly glitters blue moonbeams,
The reddish moon approaching water seems
To be for me alone this lonely night.
’Side tropical island with snowcap bright –
Low lying clouds embrace the cleft-pocked peak.
This life has nothing more for me to seek.
Your arms and love this flimsy corpse embrace,
True peace I possess for all time and space.

I wrote this sitting from the terrace of our vacation house in Termini.
