The Catholic Church is not a check list

“How glorious our Faith is! Instead of restricting hearts, as the world fancies, it uplifts them and enlarges their capacity to love”. St. Therese of Lisieux

The Catholic Faith is not a check list that we have to “get through” or a simple list of “do’s and don’ts.” Sure, we have a basic moral code precisely to prevent us from being a slave to sin and our fallen passions (living in the truth will “set you free”), and Sunday Mass is certainly an obligation, but it is above all a huge gift. As Catholics we have the unique privilege of receiving Christ in our heart every day if we want! Frequent Confession is another amazing opportunity to flood your soul with God’s grace and merciful love. Take advantage of these treasures…and don’t forget, it is all about Christ and becoming his intimate friend and follower!!
