Trust in Christ!

“Then Peter got out of the boat and started walking towards Jesus across the water, but then noticing the wind, he took fright and began to sink.” Mt 14: 29, 30

Peter was doing fine as long as he kept his eyes on Christ, but the moment he took his eyes off Christ, he began to panic and sink.  Living a life of purity, fidelity, patience, kindness, and compassion is very “doable” as long as our eyes and hearts are focused on Christ and we are close to him through a life of intense prayer and the Sacraments.  But without God’s grace and strength, we will quickly sink when challenged by the high winds and rough waters of these temptations.  Christ will never let you down, but he needs to see that you want his help!
