Do not shut down!

“Once we take our eyes away from ourselves, from our interests, from our own rights, privileges, ambitions – then they will become clear to see Jesus around us.” — Blessed Mother Teresa

939 PM Metro North Train from Grand Central to Rye. I took a seat in the front car and within a few minutes, a young professional women sat next to me. She wanted to talk. She is engaged to a Catholic who works in the city, and although she was raised Protestant, she has not really prayed or attended services in a few years. She works 10-12 hour days and takes 2 night classes for her MBA…she told me that she is totally exhausted, rarely sees her fiance due to their crazy schedules and is simply trying to “survive.” Thanks to our long conversation, she understood the need for prayer, the need for balance and perhaps even the need for a career change…so many people are looking for God, looking for perspective! Please open your eyes, open your hearts and do not shut down…Christ needs your help!
