This past weekend I was visiting a Regnum Christi family for dinner. They are one of those amazing families who always edify you by their testimony and example, in such simple ways.
The meal was delicious; the conversation was full of laughter and faith-filled conversation.
At one point, I suddenly realized how much I was enjoying sharing the evening with them and their family environment.
Their house wasn’t just a house; it was a home. And it was their home that they welcomed me into.
The question that arose in my heart: “What is my heart for you, Christ? A house or a home?”
What is it like for Him dwelling within me? How is He received? Is it truly the warm and welcoming environment of a home, or simple a place He enters- a “house”?
May the words of the Psalmist ring true for both Him and I: “My true home is within you” (Psalm 87:7).
