Explaining Faith

“Faith is a beam radiating from the face of God.” — St. John Eudes

God’s providence is always working and he is heavily engaged and interested in our daily lives. Many years ago, I was running a camp at Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary for about 50 boys and at the end of the day, I was praying outside before going to bed. I felt this nagging voice telling me again and again to go to the chapel, so after a period of resisting, I finally went. On arriving, the lights were out and I felt someone tap me on the shoulder and say, “Father, I have been waiting for you, can you hear my Confession.” How else can you explain this except by Faith?
