Embrace the commandment…what commandment? “Love one another as I have loved you”. How much does He love us? As much as He gave His life for us, He died crucified for us, for you and for me. That’s how much He loved you — he gave His life for you! There’s no grater love than that!
Now charity gives us the opportunity to “return” that love by giving back what we have received. But the question is: “what is love?”
“Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, (love) is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.”(1 Cor. 13:5)
I don’t know about you, but I have work to do!
