Suffer with love and selflessness!

“When it is all over you will not regret having suffered; rather you will regret having suffered so little, and suffered that little so badly.” –St. Sebastian Valfre

Before administering Anointing of the Sick to an elderly man, he told me, “Fr. Michael, I have tried my whole life to live with dignity and I believe that I have…now I am going to try to die with dignity. I have never done this before but I will try!” His generosity for those final 7 days was unbelievable…openly sharing his Faith, making his adult children laugh, thanking everyone profusely for all the favors that they had done for him, no complaints with a big smile, total selflessness. Impressive!!
