Suffer with love!

"When it is all over you will not regret having suffered; rather you will regret having suffered so little, and suffered that little so badly." --St. Sebastian Valfre

Before administering Anointing of the Sick to an elderly man, he told me, "Fr. Michael, I have tried my whole life to live with dignity and I believe that I have…now I am going to try to die with dignity. I have never done this before but I will try!" His generosity for those final 7 days was unbelievable…openly sharing his Faith, making his adult children laugh, thanking everyone profusely for all the favors that they had done for him, no complaints with a big smile, total selflessness. Impressive!!
