Many years ago, I was driving with my mom to do some shopping and I asked her a question. “Mom, have you ever had an experience of heaven on earth?” She thought for a moment and then responded with a gentle smile, “Yes Michael, I did have one very special experience in prayer. I went to the chapel at St. Hugo’s to make a visit to Christ in the Eucharist and for about 30 seconds, I had a moment of heaven on earth. There was light, deep peace and joy…hard to explain, but it was real and it was beautiful. I will never forget that special time with Christ!”
Only Christ can fill your hearts with peace. Go to him in the Eucharist…it is always time well spent!
