Fan the marriage flames

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the Church and handed himself over for her.” (Ephesians 5: 25)

Quality time together is needed to continually fan the flame of love in your marriage:

  1. To have at least one date night and one date lunch a week…not with other couples and not connected to business- just you and your spouse.
  2. Pray together at your parish for 10 minutes a week (perhaps before going out to lunch or dinner).
  3. Call or text each other frequently for the sole purpose of showing interest and love, without nagging or bringing up practical concerns.
  4. Plan a long week-end or week long trip together every year without the kids.
