Every person has dignity

“We must never undervalue any person. The workman loves not that his work should be despised in his presence. Now God is present everywhere, and every person is His work.”  Saint Francis de Sales

A business leader recently mentioned that his company had finished constructing an office building which included a restaurant.  For opening day, the builders were invited to bring a guest for a free lunch.  This man’s son, who works for him, brought the security guard from the main lobby of his office building as his official guest.  Every day, before going up to his office, he spends a few minutes with this security guard and tries to encourage him in his Faith and family life.  The guard really looks forward to this simple chat, because not many others seem to care.  Every person matters, and in the eyes of God we all have equal dignity.
