Lily Margaret from Houston painted this for her grandmother, Peggy. It reminded me of a story my mother shared with me about a man back home who was intrigued by a family he would see every Sunday morning at the coffee shop. Why were they always so joyful, he wondered. Then he noticed that they we’re coming into the shop from the Catholic Church on the opposite side of the road. Finally he himself went to knock on the rectory door and said to the priest, “I want the joy that that family has!”
