God loves a cheerful giver

Thy Kingdom Come!

Dear Friends in Christ,

“Now this I say, he who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully. Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9: 6-7

French class was my purgatory in High School.  I really struggled my freshman year, and my poor grade showed it.  So dad recruited my big sister Deb to be my personal tutor, and she really stepped up to the plate.  Every night Deb would put up with my complaints and frustrations, she would patiently help me through the difficult lessons and prepare me for the grueling exams.  She had a great sense of humor, and often made me laugh to break the tension.  She did it all with great love and a generous smile, in spite of being in a wheelchair with rheumatoid arthritis. God loves a cheerful giver, and I know he really loves Deb!
