The Christian Ideal

“The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and left untried.”

― G.K. Chesterton

Inner peace comes with a price. You need to make a conscious decision to take God seriously, to put prayer time with Christ on your daily schedule, to change your selfish behavior and not just say, “This is the way I am, deal with it!” Life is a battle, a real struggle to conquer evil with good, and to fight for the graces needed to win through daily prayer and the Sacraments. I am far from perfect, but I know that Christ is my ideal, and in spite of my misery and weakness, I am trying to get there!
