When mother asks…

“When Christians of all times and places turn to Mary, they are acting on the spontaneous conviction that Jesus cannot refuse his mother what she asks; and they are relying on the unshakable trust that Mary is also our mother — a mother who has experienced the greatest of all sorrows, who feels all our griefs with us and ponders in a maternal way how to overcome them. ” (Pope Benedict XVI, September 23, 2011)

Mary deeply cares about us, as a mother cares about her children, and when she sees we are struggling, she rushes to Jesus to implore his help.  Personally, I have been praying the rosary every day since my Sophomore year in High School and looking back on those High School and college days, I believe this Marian devotion prevented a lot of sin in my life.  I have no doubt that Mary was pulling really hard for me and Jesus cannot say no to his mom!
