Christ is our Compass and our companion

“This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mk 1: 15

It is fairly easy to initially change your moral and spiritual direction after a retreat or a dramatic experience, but the hard part is staying the course once you make this decision, day after day.

Christ has shown us the way, and he is willing to accompany us down that path, but we need to let him know how badly we need his help. Christ is our compass and our companion. Visit him and receive him daily in the Eucharist, gain the special graces you need from regular Confession, and live in his presence during the day!  We are all climbing Mt. Everest; don’t try to do it alone!
