While shopping with my mom last summer at Target, one of the sales reps on the floor went out of his way to help us find a particular product and he also had a tremendous sense of humor. Shortly afterwards, he did the same with the next customer. I walked up to him and thanked him for going the extra mile and he responded, “Well Reverend, most people coming into this store have a whole set of family and personal issues that can be tough. If I can just make them smile, then I am doing my part…”

 

 

About Father Michael Sliney, LC

Father Michael Sliney was ordained a priest in Rome on December 24, 1998. He studied mechanical engineering at Michigan State University for two years before entering the Legion. As a seminarian he earned a bachelors in philosophy from the University of St. Thomas Aquinas and degrees in philosophy and theology from the Pontifical Regina Apostolorum College in Rome. He works with youth groups in the Washington D.C. area.
