Love for Christ as the motor behind all of our actions

“It is not hard to obey when we love the one whom we obey.” – St. Ignatius of Loyola

When humility buckles you down, look at Christ and say, “I love you, Christ, more than my pride.” When lust or your passions overwhelm you, look at Christ and say, “I love you, Christ, more than this unhealthy desire and I will fight it for you.” When selfishness and self-absorption try to penetrate, look at Christ and say, “I love you, Christ, and I will serve others right now to prove my love.” Make a personal and passionate love for Christ, the motor behind all of your actions!
