Supreme strength

“Moderate strength is shown in violence, supreme strength is shown in levity.” — G.K. Chesterton

My mom was a teacher, a volunteer for so many groups, a mother of 4 high energy kids and a wife of a “Type A”, driven husband. She had a lot on her plate, but she never lost her sense of humor. She would make really funny faces or a clever comment that would loosen up the tense environment at the dinner table, and no matter how bad things would get, she would always help us to see the bright side with hope. I know this “supreme strength” came from daily Mass and her deep love for Christ in the Eucharist.
