As Christians, we are on the front lines of the battle for the soul of our country. The re-definition of “marriage”, co-habitation, and the high divorce rate; the narcissism, moral decadence and sexual promiscuity among teens; the serious ethical issues in our business world, a spirit of “entitlement”, etc… Hope for change? Yes! But one soul at a time! If every Christian focused on developing their own personal sanctity, their personal love for Christ through prayer and the Sacraments… If every Christian adult focused on building up their own marriage through lots of self-giving, sacrifice and compromise… If every Christian parent focused on truly “forming” their children with strong Christian values, reminding them that we are pilgrims passing through this world and that we are called to use our gifts to change culture for Christ. If every Christian tried to evangelize their circle of friends through uplifting conversations and a selfless lifestyle that inspired authenticity, generosity and magnanimity. Then, yes, then, our culture will change…one soul at a time!! St. Michael, pray for us!!
