Never become discouraged

“I will never become discouraged!” (St. Therese of Lisieux)

No matter how bad things have been for my mom, I have rarely seen her discouraged. Migraine headaches, frequent pneumonia in the winter, 2 miscarriages, problems at school with her teaching job, difficulties with my “Type A” dad and her three “Type A” sons, and the list could go on. She began and still begins every day with 6:15 AM Mass and finishes the day with the rosary…two “book-ends” that help keep everything in perspective.
