Women and the Priesthood

We all know that in the Catholic Church all the priests are men. We also know that there are folks who don’t like this fact of life and don’t know why it is so.

Renee Pomarico, a consecrated member of Regnum Christi, has a great article in Homiletic and Pastoral Review that explains why only men are priests. It is good reading if you are looking for a solid reference document on this important topic.

Renee, who is from Philadelphia, has been consecrated in Regnum Christi since 2000. She has a bachelor’s degree in education and development from Anahuac University, Mexico, and a licentiate in religious sciences from Regina Apostolorum in Rome. Pomarico currently teaches apologetics to high school students at Immaculate Conception Academy, Rhode Island, and is working towards an M.A. degree in Communication at Spring Arbor University, Michigan.
