Friends share the same truth

“What draws people to be friends is that they see the same truth. They share it.”

― C.S. Lewis

Friends who pray together stay together and grow in holiness together. How many friends only “work out” together, have meals together, chat online together, etc…? But how deep and profound is their friendship? There is no greater glue to “true” friendship than sharing a mutual love for Christ. These are the friends who will inspire each other, who will not get caught up in the superficialities of the world, who will not spend their time together complaining about their spouse or their children, or get distracted with the vanities of the world. Build your friendship in Christ, around Christ and with Christ. Go to Mass and adoration together, go to Bible study together, pray the rosary together. This is the secret to “fulfilling” friendships!
