“Why do you have so low an opinion of yourself, when you are so precious to God? Why do you so dishonor yourself when you are so honored by God?” (St. Peter Chrysologus)
Last week, we had a father-son evening with a bon fire, cook-out, adoration and manhunt. One of the activities was to ask the dads to state one virtue that they most admired in their sons and for the sons to do the same for their dads. Both sides spoke with a heart felt sincerity and charity, and it was amazing to witness. God the Father expresses this same sentiment to all of us through Scared Scripture; “Because you are precious in my eyes and honored, and I love you.” (Is 43:4). Never doubt this love! Never doubt God’s infinite mercy and esteem for each one of you. He thinks about you all the time, he loves you unconditionally and you have a special place in the heart of God!
