My mom’s family prayed the rosary every night after dinner. I know many families who continue this practice today, and you do notice the peace and harmony in their homes. Personally, I have been praying the rosary everyday since I was 16 yrs. old, and this has been a huge blessing in my life.
As you are praying the different Hail Mary’s, I recommend trying to think of individual family members or friends as you go through the beads. Or perhaps contemplate the Mystery itself as you are saying each decade for a particular intention. If you struggle with a particular virtue, why not offer up a decade to obtain that virtue? To Jesus through Mary! Mary will take all of your petitions directly to the Heart of Christ and she is extremely effective!
