“I do not understand my own behaviour; I do not act as I mean to, but I do things that I hate.” Romans 7: 15, 16
I strongly recommend the practice of doing a daily examination of conscience at the end of the day.. This should be an intimate conversation with Christ as your friend, brother and King. And this will help you make a better Confession as well!
1. Thank Christ for your many blessings: the gift of your Catholic Faith and his friendship, The Blessed Virgin Mary and your Guardian Angel, your family, your health, etc…
2. Reflect on what messages Christ may have been sending you during the day and peacefully analyze the roadblocks you may have put up that prevented Christ from realizing his plan.
3. Make an act of contrition, and come up with a concrete resolution that will help you be a
better instrument of his love tomorrow.
