“Take the log out of your own eye first, and then you will see clearly enough to take the splinter out of your brother’s eye.” Mt 6: 5
As a caddy for 9 years, I saw the best and worst of human nature. I was a little judgmental when a member would toss his putter or driver into the air after a bad shot or shout a nasty swear word after missing a key putt, or drill his 7 iron into the fairway after sculling his ball over the green, etc. But I also played golf and I was far from the model example of self-control and etiquette as a kid. I definitely needed to take the log out of my own eye first!
