True Charity

“For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself” Gal. 5: 14

Once a month, our High School team organizes a “door to door” food drive in the local neighborhoods.  These kids give up 2 hours of their Saturday afternoon, two hours of potential “fun time” to do a real act of charity for those in need.  On our last food drive, high winds had blown down a tree blocking a subdivision entrance, so one of our guys said, “We need to move that thing.” Ten minutes later it was off the road and in the ditch..  I am convinced that if you practice generosity as a kid, you will carry this with you into adulthood as well.
