God will never let you down

“Do not fear what may happen tomorrow; the same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you then and every day.  He will shield you from suffering, or will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace, and put aside all anxious thoughts and imagination.”  St. Francis de Sales

I was recently with a young man who is currently paralyzed from his waist down due to a recent car accident.   As I walked into his room, there was a glow and deep peace coming from his face, and even a little smile.  He is going to daily Mass, praying the rosary and having lots of conversations with Christ from his bed.  This kid is really amazing.  He knows that God wants to bring a lot of good out of this bad situation and he is ready to collaborate and trust in him completely.  Having an older sister who has been in a wheelchair for over 50 years now, I know how much her positive example helped me and I can already see how his positive spirit is helping his family and so many of his friends.  He is leaning hard into Christ, and Christ is helping him through this one. What a witness!
