The RC Live blogspot, launched this past June 2010, now features a wider range of bloggers, including several Legionary priests, consecrated women, and lay people. Its new functionality has also made it simpler for readers to post comments without having to log on or go through a registration process.
New contributors
Consecrated woman Joan Kingsland has also contributed a three-part clarification (see Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3) about the canonical status of the consecrated women, a piece explaining her own attitudes for the future with the visitation in process, another on the meaning and purpose of the silence that the consecrated women live in their centers, and several other reflections on the current situation of the consecrated women.
Fr Andreas Schöggl, LC, who is currently working in the general secretariat of the congregation of the Legionaries of Christ in Rome, has written several pieces offering clarification on such topics as the Regnum Christi Statutes and the process of their approval, the Holy Father’s references to the Legion of Christ and its current situation in his new book, Light of the World, and whether the Legion’s superiors have resigned or not as some rumors have said.
Both bloggers are open to questions and interested in establishing a dialogue about issues that may still be in the air.
New functionality
Readers can now post comments on the various blogs much more easily, thanks to a simplified process. It is no longer necessary to register or log on in order to comment on a blog. Only two fields are required: the commenter’s name (or alias) and their e-mail, which will not be published.
All comments are still screened by the moderator, Jim Fair, who will approve anything that is rational, respectful, and aimed at dialogue.
