There have been many questions in the past few days about the reported plans for a visitation to Regnum Christi. Frankly, there might be more questions than answers right now.
The May 1 Vatican communiqué suggested there will be a visitation to the consecrated members of Regnum Christi: “To the consecrated members of the Movement Regnum Christi, who have repeatedly requested it, the Holy Father will send a Visitator”.
The July 23 Decree just mentions in general terms that “the Papal Delegate coordinates the Apostolic Visitation to the Regnum Christi Movement, following the indications of the Holy See”.
Some have speculated that the July 23 Decree suggested a broader visitation than the May 1 Statement, perhaps focusing on many more aspects and persons than the 1,000 consecrated members.
The fact of the matter is that the visitation will take place according to the Holy See’s indications and that these have not been released yet, neither to us nor to the Papal Delegate. As soon as we have more information, we will share it with everyone.
