Time to celebrate Easter

To the Casual Catholic (I don’t mean any of my readers, but perhaps someone you know), there is a misunderstanding that the Eastern Season ends on Easter Sunday.  You go to Mass and see lots of people you have not seen since Christmas, stuff yourself full of everything you gave up for Lent, then get back to normal.

News flash!!!  Eastern Season goes from Easter Sunday until Pentecost.  Unfortunately, I’m not a theologian qualified to explain the significance of this period of time in an articulate, sound way.  Fortunately, I know a really bright theologian and writer – Fr John Bartunek LC – who has a new online retreat on the subject.  Click, learn, enjoy at http://www.rcspirituality.org/ .
