Do you remember yourself lying on the grass looking up to the sky for the wishing star and making a wish? Or sitting in your secret hiding place writing away your wishing list; or coming back from a great trip or party, lying in bed thinking, that was good but…our hearts always DESIRE for more. The heart is like a “spoiled brat kid who’s never content”: Success, more! Money, more! Party, more!
We are meant for higher things, our hearts DESIRE GOD, DESIRE LOVE. But not the fake, fussy, fat free O calories type of love: no, our hearts desire and seek LOVE THAT’S REAL. The love that seeks the good of the other, the love that we find in friendship, in beauty, the love that thirsts for truth and goodness.
That love is GOD, yes, GOD: the only one who can satisfy and fulfill ALL the desires that our heart longs for.
This is our lucky year! The year of faith, the year were all your wishes can come true.
Prayer: “Lord I believe, I trust, I love and I adore You, and I ask you for all those who do not believe, trust, love or adore you, Lord give me the grace always to believe, trust, love and adore you”.
Action: Make a long visit to the Blessed Sacrament (the Eucharist) and tell Him your wish.
