The mission of a mother is to love, to nourish, to protect, to guide, to console, to launch, to form; also to correct, to discipline…That’s the mission of our mother, the Church. Last week we said that faith is a personal gift from God that TRANSFORMS and ENRICHES us…at the same time, that gift is given through the Church. So the Church, as a good mother, gives us all that we need to nourish our faith: The sacraments, moral guidelines, liturgical and communal prayers, etc. Saint Cyprian says, “No one can have God as a Father who does not have the Church as a Mother”.
Prayer: Lord help me mature in the faith I have received and by putting it into practice, become a beacon of Your light and peace to those around me.
Action: Recite the CREED on Sunday with extra attention.
