The Little Hill

As I was recovering from my sprained ankle, I could feel ever single slant in the path. Little steps up, slight inclines, mini potholes all become noticeable. All meant danger for my recovering ankle. Now I became aware of the little things.

Fulton J. Sheen said, “There are no plains in the Spiritual life; we are either going uphill or coming down.” How often I fail to realize which way I am going and I don’t always go the right way.

Maybe having a bum ankle was a blessing – it would be good to have one in the spiritual life.
