Growing up in Bloomfield Hills, MI was amazing, but very intense. We played sports all year round and there was a high level of expectation to succeed in everything. So, it was critical for me and my brothers and sister to have a mom with a huge, loving heart…we needed it!! Seeing my mom's warm, joyful smile was like coming into the living room with a warm fire and a mug of hot chocolate after playing hockey for 3 hours in freezing weather. Daily Mass and daily rosary pumped her heart with this grace and warmth, and I will be eternally grateful!
