I recently had the privilege of administering Anointing of the Sick to an elderly lady in the hospital the night before her hip surgery. As I walked into her room, her face lit up with a big smile and she welcomed me with kind words. The nurse had just given her a shot to calm her nausea, and you would never had known she was feeling nauseous or that she had just broken her hip. She was a selfless angel, full of gratitude and her conversation was uplifting and edifying. Before leaving she said with a smile, "You know, Fr. Michael, I just can't understand how people can go through life without Faith…it is so comforting!" (She made it through the operation just fine and is doing well!)
