Christ in the Eucharist

“When I am before the Blessed Sacrament I feel such a lively faith that I can’t describe it. Christ in the Eucharist is almost tangible to me…When it is time for me to leave, I have to tear myself away from His sacred presence.” St. Anthony of Claret

A Protestant woman recently told me that during her younger years, she spent a lot of time in Europe and would relish visiting the Catholic churches and just sit there in the pews. She said that she noticed something different than her own Church; there was a real presence of God and this affected her deeply. In fact, this was the main reason behind her current conversion process.

 

About Father Michael Sliney, LC

Father Michael Sliney was ordained a priest in Rome on December 24, 1998. He studied mechanical engineering at Michigan State University for two years before entering the Legion. As a seminarian he earned a bachelors in philosophy from the University of St. Thomas Aquinas and degrees in philosophy and theology from the Pontifical Regina Apostolorum College in Rome. He works with youth groups in the Washington D.C. area.
