Haiti: Summer sun and a big heart!

In the mist of the religious liberty battle, the debate over gay marriage, and a culture indecisive about values; young people are out there searching for the truth, searching for something that’s going to give meaning to their lives.

This summer more than 100 young people will be participating in different Mission Youth missions in Cancun and Haiti. Just two days ago many of them where graduating from High School; they took off their cap and gown and put on their jeans and missionary t-shirt, and today here they are in Port Au Prince, Haiti, giving their time, hearts and talents to help Haitian people in great need.

I ask myself, what are they seeking? What make them give part of their summer to help others? To rough it and go out of their comfort zones and challenge themselves in so many ways?

I am going try to discover what it is in the next few days, and I will keep you posted.
