Prove our love by all the little acts of tenderness and consideration

“We must do everything we are obliged to do: give without reckoning, practice virtue whenever opportunity offers, constantly overcome ourselves, prove our love by all the little acts of tenderness and considerations we can muster.” (St. Therese of Lisieux)

We are very privileged to have a large group of generous moms who each prepare a meal once a month for our community of 11 hungry priests and seminarians. The other day, I looked at a large pan of chicken cacciatori on the dinner table and noticed the carefully cut red and green bell peppers, small mushrooms, onions, rich tomato sauce…and this reminded me of how my mom prepared it back home (she usually had to get up early to prepare it because she was a 2nd grade school teacher). So many details of love went into that dish and in so many other dishes that arrive to our community and on behalf of all of us, thank you very much for your support and kindness…we really appreciate it!!
