Ask Christ for Help!

“God is watching us as we battle and fight in the combat of faith.  His angels are watching us, and so is Christ.”  (St. Cyprian)

In just a few days, we will all be sitting with family members, cousins and in-laws for Thanksgiving meals.  At times, this can be a real test of charity and patience, and learning how to let go of grudges and past offenses.  Living in close quarters for several days can make this even a little more difficult.

Take time out now to say a little prayer and ask Christ for help:  “Christ, I love you, and I know that you want me to be an instrument of love for all these family members and relatives.  I am not perfect, you know how easily I become impatient and judgmental, so I am begging you for special help during these days ahead.  I know you will be watching, and my deepest desire is to console your heart.  Please help me to remember your presence and strengthen my heart with your grace!”
