Disinterested Charity

“Be careful not to parade your uprightness in public to attract attention; otherwise you will lose all reward from your Father in heaven.”  Mt 6: 1

A successful businessman recently asked his friends at work how many of their wives prepared home-cooked meals, and very few hands went up.  He told me how much he appreciates this effort from his wife, and having been at their house myself, I can say that his wife is an exceptional cook!  I know this demands serious time and effort, and women are busier today, but when done with a lot of TLC, the kids and the husband really appreciate it!  My mom was a teacher, with a lot of other responsibilities, but she was able to get it done (without looking for recognition and esteem).
