Pray for priests!

“The devil strains every nerve to secure the souls which belong to Christ. We should not grudge our toil in wresting them from Satan and giving them back to God.” — St. Sebastian

Back in the early 1970’s, Pope Paul VI was once asked why so many priests were leaving the priesthood.  His response was, “The smoke of Satan has entered the Church…and they do not pray enough.”   The devil clearly goes after priests and Bishops because he knows how much damage our infidelity can do to the Church and to all the souls entrusted to us.  He can’t stand to see how much good we are doing for Christ.  Pray for your Parish priests and Bishops!  Offer up sacrifices for the fidelity and perseverance of all priests…we are in a battle and your help is needed!
